Nail Polish Collections

Nail Polish Collections

Hello everybody!! It's been a while since I've update this site. I do update my personal blog if you follow me HERE . If yall follow me at Snapchat or Instagram @ KimmmyLoo you'll know that I love nail polishes the most and have tons of them! So with that, I decided to customize a rack for it and it's finally done! I've been dying to get my hands on it and it's finally ready and up on my wall.

I personally love collecting nail polishes and painting my nails whenever I'm free. I don't get it from a single brand only but I get it from any brand that I come across. It's pretty much a side hobby I enjoy whenever I'm bored. Maybe it will turn out to be a career in the future? Who knows?

What I have here is from Etude House, Nature Republic, The Face Shop, Skin food, Holika Holika, SASA and a few random ones as gifts from others.

I have so many bottle of polishes, sometimes i lost track of what colour I have or forgot how it looks like on my nails so I constantly have to try it on to see how the colour looks like on my nail. Getting annoyed with it, I decided to get some false nail sets from Ebay for about USD $1.70. I have the colour swatches on it to make my life easier rather than wasting cotton and nail polish remover.

So far my favourite one is from Nature Republic and Face Shop. The way the brush length and shape is, it is pretty easy to apply. It has a pretty thick consistency too so 1 layer is enough usually.

Separately I have a box to put all my other nail stuffs. I didn't want everything to lie around my table or get tons of containers stacking it one by one to put everything in so I was complaining to my mom about it so she got me this tool box kit and I love it. I keep my stamping kit, dotting tools, nail files, clippers, nail swatches, base coat, top coat, nail thinner and a few other things in there so everything is at reach when I need it.

-

That's all from my nail polish collections. Stay tune for more updates~

[Review] Biore Make Up Remover Cleansing Oil

Remember last year I did a review on The FaceShop Rice Cleansing Water and it was great. If you have not seen it yet, CLICK HERE. I love it a lot but I decided to give the Cleansing Oil a try. I've heard great stuffs on Biore's cleansing product and it's been out in the market for a few years now. I, personally am not a fan of cleansing oil as I'm afraid that it would clog my pores leading to more pimples. However, I'll be giving it a try and lets see how effective it is on removing makeups.

Biore Cleansing Oil For all Skin Type.

It is a gentle cleansing oil that washes away long lasting makeup and even waterproof mascara.

It claims that the cleansing oil has the ability to remove any stubborn makeup pretty quick and easy and even mascara. It can be used on dry or wet skin depending on your preferences. It has listed a few points such as:

- No greasy or sticky feeling on skin after use
- Does not clog pores
- Gentle and mild on skin
- Refreshing Fragrance.

PACKAGING

As you can see, it comes in a purple/pinkish bottle with a pump. If you're a regular reader of my blog you would know that I'm super picky when it comes to the packaging of the product and I prefer products that comes in a tube or with pump due to hygiene purposes. You do not need to come in contact with the content so it does not contaminate it. It also has a plastic cover over it making it easy for travelling. It locks the pump preventing it from getting squeezed during travels.

Let's put those claims into test and see how effective the cleansing oil is.

So I slap on super heavy makeup onto the back of my hands for this review like what I did on the FaceShop Cleansing Rice Water. I usually do not have such heavy makeup except for dinner events but maybe most of you all out there does.

What I have on the back of my hands:
1. BB Cream/Foundation HERE for review
2. Blusher
3. Concealer
4. Eyeliner HERE for review.
5. Mascara
6. Eye shadow

DIRECTIONS

For this cleansing oil, you do not need to apply it onto a cotton. Apply 2 to 3 pumps of cleansing oil straight onto your hands and rub it onto your face in circular motion massaging and melting the makeups at the same time.

After rubbing it in a circular motion it melts off most of the makeup. It dissolves everything into a huge blob of makeup.

So for this cleansing oil you have 2 ways of removing it depending on whichever you prefer. Firstly removing it with baby wipes and secondly with water.

First was is with Baby Wipes.

Wash your wipes before wiping off the makeup as you wouldn't want to transfer any of the component from the wipes onto your skin.

With the baby wipes, one swipe and everything was stuck onto the wipes. It did a super job well done on removing the heavy makeup. As you can see, it was super clean. As compared to the FaceShop Cleansing Rice Water, the Biore Cleansing Oil removed everything in one swipe while the Cleansing Water takes two wipes.

Second way is to removed with luke warm water.

As what was stated, massage the cleansing oil in circular motion for a few minutes dissolving everything before washing it off.

Slowly add drops of water onto your skin and rub it in circular motion. When the cleansing oil comes in contact with water it turns into a milky solution and you no longer feel the cleansing oil on your skin.

After everything gets dissolved, wash it away with luke warm water. You will see that it gets removed instantly. Super magical!

Everything gets removed instantly! No extra makeup residue gets left behind. It did a better job than the cleansing water I tried previously.

AFTER EFFECT

Baby Wipes
- It wipes off right away without leaving any mess around your cleansing area.
- Gets the job in removing make up easy with just one piece of wipes.
- However, it leaves a sticky feeling on my skin.

Luke warm water
- It turns the cleansing oil into a milky white substance.
- It will be a little messier than using the wipes due to makeup residue splattering all over the sink.
- It cleans off easily too.
- However, cleansing with water leaves no sticky after effect on your skin. It leaves our skin super smooth.

CHECK LIST

No greasy or sticky feeling on skin after use

As stated above, only when you use wipes to remove the makeup then it leaves a sticky feeling. If you removed it with water, it leaves a super smooth after effect on your skin.

Does not clog pores

So far I've been using it for a week and I don't feel my pores clogging. My skin still appears to be as usual.

Gentle and mild on skin

It is super gentle when I am doing cleansing on my skin. It does not feel sticky and icky or heavy when massaging.

Refreshing Fragrance

It smells fantastic. It has a fruity apple scent to it, not too strong and not too mild, just right,

WARNING

As stated on the product, in case your skin tend to itches while using this product, stop using and wash it off immediately. Do not come in contact with your eyes. Some may not feel the sting in their eyes but some may not. It is most recommendable not to use it around your eyes.

PROS

- It smells refreshing unlike other types of cleansing oil
- It removes heavy makeups thoroughly.
- It is cheap for 150 ml. Affordable for those who are looking out for cheap but good quality make up remover.
- Leaves skin feeling smooth.
- It comes in a pump which is good for hygienic reasons.

CONS

- Although it does a good job in removing eyeliner and mascara, it does sting when it goes into your eyes. Use at your own risk.
- Not suitable for everyone as some may experience oil seeds around your skin due to the oil clogging pores.

RATINGS

Price - RM27 for 150 ml available at Watson 9/10
After effect - 9/10
Packaging - 9/10
Scent - 9/10
Overall - 9/10

I love this product! It does the job pretty well without leaving my face filled with stickiness however I wish it is available in a bigger bottle.

Will you purchase it again after you finish the current one?

Yes, I will definitely purchase another one once I finish using this. I will try their wipes and water too to compare which one does a better job in removing makeups.

Have you tried this product before? Love it? Hate it? Love-Hate relationship? Leave it in the comments below. I would love to hear your comments on Biore's Cleansing Oil.

[Review] Nivea Watering Lip Series [Avocado]

With the weather going on these days turning from freezing cold from the rain to freakishly hot with the burning sun. With the crazy change in the weather it has done a pretty decent job of messing up my lips no matter how much water I drank. So my mum went to Watson to grab a few things and I decided to buy a stick type of balm and I found this along the choices.

The Nivea Watering Lip Series

Nourishing Avocado

It contains Avocado Oil and Lotus extract that helps to moisturize lips long lastingly. It is also enhanced with Hydra IQ moisture technology for deep moisturization.

It comes in a tiny tube about 1.5 cm width and about 9 cm in length including the cap. It is a light blue tube with a translucent cap. I love the colour! The lip balm is the usual white and it applies on pretty smoothly.

So much hydration is what caught my attention. So I decided to give it a try. I feel kinda disappointed thought. I love Nivea products but the Lip series was pretty much a disappointment. I've been using it every once in a while for the whole day today and I found that it's pretty moisturizing but it feels kinda oily.

As for the moisturizing level, it is pretty decent for hydration. I guess I gotta use it for a week to see if it did change the condition of my lips. However I find it not really long lasting. I find myself reapplying it quite often. Not sure if it's because I have a lot of dead skin on my lip or this product is making me peel a little bit more than usual.

It doesn't have a icky after applying on your lips but it still has a little taste to it. For me personally it is still tolerable cause it's not a strong taste to it. I can't really explain how it taste or smell but it is pretty decent.

PROS

- It is cheap as compared to other brands.
- It comes in a stick which is easy to carry around during travelling.
- It provides a decent amount of hydration.
- Does not have a lotion kind of taste to it.
- It applies on pretty smoothly.

CONS

- I find it a little bit too oily when applying it for the first time.
- Moisture dries up too quickly. (Not sure if it's cause my lips were dry or it wares off quickly)
- Made my lips peel a little more than usual.

RATINGS

Hydration - 8.5/10
Application - 9.5/10
Packaging - 9.5/10
Overall - 8/10

Will I buy it again once I've finish using it?

I don't think I'll be purchasing it again. I might be choosing another type but I will still be choosing Nivea just not this particular Lip Series.

Comeback for more updates on other products that I might find along the way.

[TUTORIAL] Veet Facial Waxing Strips.

Hellooooo everybody!! So, today I will be posting up something different. Instead of a review, I will be doing a tutorial today! I'm sure not everybody know how to do everything without googling HOW-TO~ So I'm here to rescue all you beautiful people out there who are dying to know How-To-Use facial waxing strips~

I will be using Easy Ready to use waxing strips from VEET. They have a wide range of hair removal product to choose from such as waxing strips for face or body and cream type. It depends on which type you prefer. For facial hair removal and my legs, I prefer the waxing strip and for my arm, I prefer the cream type.

Type of hair removal products available for VEET.

So, inside the box contains 20 wax strips and 4 perfect finish wipes.

This is how the facial strips looks like, it is smaller as compared to the body wax strips. It is the sheer butter and berry range for Normal Skin. If you have dry skin, feel free to choose the other range according to your skin condition.

STEP 1!
-Make sure the area you are waxing is clean, free from oily residue and dry. If your skin is oily or wet, the wax may not stick or you may apply a gentle amount of powder onto the skin before applying the wax. It helps the wax to stick onto the hair better.

STEP 2!
-Before peeling the strip apart, warm up the wax by rubbing the strips in between your hand. This helps to warm up the wax for easy application.

STEP 3!
-Slowly peel the wax strips apart as seen in the picture above. Leave one aside and apply one of the strip to the area of your choice. When applying, make sure to rub it according to the SAME direction of hair growth.

STEP 4!
-Be ready to pull! If it's your first time waxing, it may hurt a little OR maybe a lot for some people. Now, use one hand to hold onto your skin tightly, and pull the waxing strip on a OPPOSITE direction from your hair growth.

-Example picture of what I am talking about.
- First picture, if your hair is growing in the direction towards right, apply the wax strip and rub it towards the right according to the direction of your hair growth.

-Second picture, hold onto the skin on the right side and pull gently making sure your skin is tight. Now grab onto the waxing strip with your other hand and pull towards the left in a fast motion. DO NOT pull gently and the would not work.

On the strip itself it also shows you how to use it.

STEP 5!
-Repeat for other area until you are satisfied with all the hair removal.

STEP 6!

- With the Perfect Finish Wipes, use that to remove any excess wax residue left on your skin. If you do not like to use the wipes included in the box, you can always remove the excess wax with baby oil or Olive Oil, it works the same way.

*It may hurt for some people and if you see tiny dots of blood coming out from your pores, don't worry, its just a light injuring from pulling hair away from the roots. Just wipe it off with a clean warm towel. You may want to do it at night before bed so that it allows your skin to heal overnight.

After waxing, it depends on your speed of hair growth, for me it usually last around 3-4 weeks before I wax again!

You can get the waxing strips or cream from any drug store or department store at a affordable price.

Have fun waxing! I'll see yall in my next blog post~ Feel free to drop me any questions in my email (KimmyLoo1212@gmail.com), FACEBOOK or INSTAGRAM~~

[REVIEW] The L'Oreal Paris Hydrafresh Anti-Shine All Day Hydrating & Matifying Icy Gel.

Hello everyone, I'm back with a new review I have been working on. It's the L'Oreal Paris Hydrafresh Anti Shine Icy Gel and it claims that it provides high hydration to the skin. Throughout the years I tend to have oily skin around my T zone area but one day I came across this product while I was doing some shopping around watsons (Malaysia). The words Matifying & Hydration caught my attention so I decided to give it a try.

Some things I need to clarify about my skin, I tend to get oily skin on my T zone area which is my forehead, nose and chin area after a few hours while my cheeks stays normal not too oily/dry. So, Im a combination type myself.

The L'Oreal Paris Hydrafresh Anti-Shine All Day Hydrating & Matifying Icy Gel.

Package
- As seen in above's picture, it comes in a jar at 50ml. I would actually prefer if it comes in a tube as for hygiene purposes. I usually uses a spatula to scoop it out instead of putting my fingers into the jar.

Texture

- It comes in a light blue creamy colour and the texture itself is not too heavy. As the package claims that it give you a icy sensation and it  is proven to be truly icy. When the product touches your skin, it gives a cool feeling. It is easy to apply on and it absorbs quickly. After applying, it gives your face a matte finish suitable for oily/combination skin.

Results

Your skin is mmediately cooled down, durably matifies and quenched for all day. Day after day skin gets rid of shininess and pores are clear and tightened. Skin is smooth and evened out. Full of moisture, it is “water-bouncy” and looks healthier like “water transparent.”

Application

I usually apply it around my Tzone area. I do not personally use this as a moisturizer all over my face as it tends to over dry other parts of my skin. After cleansing, toner and moisturizer, I apply EtudeHouse's BB Cream and after Im ready, I use this to pat it onto my Tzone area to provide a matte finish.

Mask

This doesn't have to limited to moisturizer only as it can also be used as a mask. Apply a generous amount all over your face and leave it for 15minutes and wash/wipe it off. Use it once a week and you can clearly see a difference.

Pros

- It is suitable for most people living in a tropical area just like myself in Brunei/Malaysia.
- It is easily available at Watsons, Guradian or any drugstore.
- It is 50g along with a great price approx of RM$30
- It provides a matte finish so your skin wont be oily.

Cons

- Apart from it's cooling sensation and matifying purposes, it does not improve your skin complex.
- Should have came in a tube/pump instead of  a jar.

Overall Rating of the Product 4/5

Price - 4/5
It was worth it as the product does what it claims to do and it comes in 50g which is a steal.

Packaging - 3/5
I don't like how it comes in a jar instead of a tube/pump

Hydrating/Matifying Power - 4/5
It does give your face a matte finish but it would only last you around 4-5 hours.

I will go back for this product again after I finish mine as it was worth it.
