[Review] Lindsay Rubber Mask - Tea Tree

Hello everybody! I'm back again with another review and this time it's the Lindsay Modeling Rubber Mask. It is widely known among the Korean skincare routine and it's been out in the market for a while now. I've been wanting to post a review on the modeling mask but I wanted to test it out for myself before doing a review.

So here I am putting up a review after testing it out for a few months. The one I've tried are as below:

2 x Tea Tree
2 x Lavender
1 x Calendula
1 x Vitamin C

I will be doing a review on the Tea Tree version of the Lindsay Modeling Mask.

Cool (Tea-Tree) Modeling Mask

There are 8 different types of modeling mask by Lindsay available depending on your skin condition.

(Photo cr:shopcoupons.my)

Collagen - Moisturizes and plumps up skin (All skin type)
Charcoal - Lifts up oil and dirts (Oily skin)
Calendula - Helps to nourish and moisturize skin (Acne prone skin)
Lavender - Anti-oxidant to cleanse and combats environmental pollutants (All skin type)
Cool (Tea-Tree) - Aids in healing breakouts (Acne prone skin)
Pearl - Restores skin elasticity (All skin type)
Vitamin - Helps to renew, brighten and soothe irritated skin (All skin type)
Gold - Soothe inflammation (All skin type/Acne skin)

It comes in a plastic container at 30g worth of modeling mask powder for one time use only. There is a plastic lid protecting the cover.

Before opening the cover, make sure to lightly tap the sides of the container so the powder won't spill all over. It comes with a spatula inside the container for you to stir and apply. However I personally don't like the spatula provided because it is too short so I prefer to use my annie's way/ePure's spatula instead.

Spatula provided by Lindsay's Modeling Mask

I prefer using this spatula which is available when you purchase ePure or Annie's Way jelly mask

Note: When using this product, it may take a while to get use to mixing it. It may turn out too watery or too dry. It's all about trial and errors.

How to Use:

Step 1
On the container itself, there is a line as seen above. The purpose of the line is to guide you on how much water is needed.

Step 2
I push the powder one side so I can pour the water until the line indicator on the container.

Step 3
Please use warm water for this mask. If the water is too hot, it kills off the purpose of the mask but if it's too cold, the mask solidifies very fast creating lumps which makes it hard to apply.

Step 4
Pour in the water until the line then start to stir it. This steps tell you how much more water is needed. As you start stirring, it will slowly form a paste and gradually add in more water if needed.

Step 5
After stirring and adding water as needed, it will form a smooth paste as seen in the picture above. It is very important to get a smooth yet thick consistency as seen above. If it is too dry, it dries up very fast but if it is too watery, it will be hard to apply as it will start to drip.

Step 6
Apply it onto your face with the spatula. Make sure to apply it in thick layers.

Make sure to apply it thicker on the side so it is easier to remove the mask.

Note* From adding water till applying it all over your face should take around 1-2 minutes only. Otherwise the mask would dry up before you even get to apply it on your face.

It is super hard to explain how or where to apply all the mask so here is a picture of where I apply the mask. IT IS PERFECT TO APPLY IT AND SCARE PEOPLE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT! XD
* Yes it is my nail polish collection at the back. Check it out HERE

Applying it all over including your lips as it helps to moisturizes your lips too. Usually if there is someone to apply it for you, you may apply it on top of your eyes too. Use a damp cotton on top of your eyes and apply the mask all over. If you are applying it yourself, you do not need to apply it on your eyes.

Step 7
Remove the mask after 20 minutes. The reason to apply it thicker on the ends is so that you are able to remove the mask easily.

Step 8
Wash off residue with warm water and follow up with your moisturizer and you're done.

There are bits and pieces of black things in there. Don't worry, it is nothing scary as it is bits of tea-tree.

TIPS

1. Prep your skin before using the modeling mask. Prep with essence and serum for better effect.

2. Work fast as the modeling mask dries pretty fast.

3. You can scoop out half the powder if you are afraid of adding too much water making it too watery.

PROS

1. Moisturizes your skin instantly.
2. Does what it claims it does.
3. Minimizes pores
4. Improves complexion and hydration to tired skin. Tea-tree also calms sensitive skin that are easily irritated.
5. It does not evaporates unlike sheet mask. Although the outer layer is fully dry the inside of the mask stays wet.
6. It has a cooling effect due to the tea-tree

CONS

1. It takes a while to get use to mixing it.
2. First time users may not like the smell but overtime, you will get use to the smell.
3. The spatula provided is too short/small
4. One time use only at RM12.90 (BND$ 4.30) a little pricey for some.
5. Not suitable for people who are lazy or too tired for all the manual labour. LOL

RATINGS
Price - 4/5 Personally it is affordable as it really benefits my skin and does what it claims.
Hygiene -5/5 It is a one time use so just throw away the container once used. No contamination.
Quality - 4/5 Better than most sheet mask.

Would definitely purchase again.

Where to purchase it?
1. Ebay - HERE

January - March 2016 Favorites!

It's the time of the year! 1st beauty quarter has finally come to an end! IT'S 1st QUARTER FAVORITES!!! There are a few thing that I've fallen in love with and I can't survive without them! Let's go!

Yep! That's right, not only I love beauty products, I love candles and Ipad games too! What I have here is Yankee Candle, Modeling Mask, ePure Jelly Mask, Foot Mask, Hair Treatment and Happy Mall Story.

Aloe Water

I love love love love loveeeee candles!! I love scented candles especially the ones from Yankee partially it's cause of the jar too. I recently purchased another one and it's the Red Raspberry and I love it!

As you can see, this one here is halfway gone as I've been lighting it almost everyday. With the current hazy situation here, the candle gets rid of the smell quickly. I can't really describe the smell of Aloe water but it has the fruity-fresh scent. It's works better than air fresher. Pretty worth the investment.

Cost - $20+ - $40+

 Lindsay Modeling Mask.

Finally Hermo is selling it! I've been hearing great things about Korea's Rubber mask so I decided to get some. If you don't know what Hermo is, check out my post on Hermo HERE

I love this mask so much! It's cooling and super moisturizing but it is super hard to get it at the right consistency. It comes in powder form so you gotta mix it with water to get a paste.

I'll be doing a separate review on this mask soon. Be sure to check it out!

ePure Jelly Mask

I've posted on snapchat numerous times on how much I love jelly mask! Previously I posted a review on Annie's Way Jelly mask HERE and this time it's the ePure Jelly Mask. It brightens up your skin like magic and minimizes your pores just like that! You can get it at Hermo too! Check it out and lemme know what you think!

Obsidian Silk Treatment

As you all know, I'm always coloring my hair and not once I have natural hair colour since I ended Secondary 5. Ever since I got out of school, I've been dying my hair since then and it's pretty damaged. For the new year I bleached and dyed my hair and now it's super dried up. Recently my hair stylist introduced me this product cause I'm always too busy to visit her for hair treatment. LOL.

I love it so much! Not only it make my hair super soft, it smells great too! Totally recommend it to those who has damaged and weak hair!

Happy Mall Story

Lastly! No this is not a beauty product. This game is pretty much keeping me busy the entire week! I'm addicted to it! LOL. It's pretty fun collecting coins, building floors, bringing in new shop and etc! Be sure to check it out, it's available in the App Store for Apple Users~
