Beginners Make-up Pouch!

Ever wonder what you should have in your make-up pouch as a newbie? So much to choose from, what do I need?? It is so confusing, but when you start to understand what your skin needs, there's a zillion of makeup products to choose from.

First of all, you don't need anything complicated. Just a few basic stuffs and you're good to go... Nothing complicated like razors, tweezers or whatever. So let's get started.

A - Everything you need should be able to fit into your pouch. A medium size pouch will do so I should be able to fit into your bag.

B - Primer Base. Here I'm using Etude House's Sun Powder Cotton Touch 50+SPF/PA+++. It should be applied first after moisturizer. It helps to cover pores and helps make  up to stay on for a longer period of time especially for people with oily-skin.

C - Foundation / BB Cream / CC Cream your choice. I am currently using Etude House's BB Cream. Here's a review HERE . It helps to even out your skin tone creating a palette to help you apply on other products. When choosing foundation, be sure to choose a colour which matches nearest to your skin tone.

D - Loose Powder. This may be optional depending on your skin type. For oily to combination skin it is best to apply onto the T-Zone which is your forehead and nose. Here I'm using Holika Holika's Baby Bloom with SPF 15+

E - Concealer. If you are using loose powder, applying concealer may not be necessary. If you are not using any loose/compact powder, applying concealer may be needed. It is applied to hide blemishes, sores, bags, and other marks on the face. Here I'm using Etude House's Surprise Essence Concealer #1.

F - Eyeshadow [optional] It is available for any skin tone.
Neutral and complimentary colors such as brown that can be used everyday should be put in your everyday pile. While exotic and dramatic colors can be added to your special occasion collection.

G - Eyeliner. Liquid or Pencil eyeliner can be used but I recommend a pencil because it's easier to use.. Black or Brown either one your choice as well. It is used for defining the eyes.

H - A lip balm for people who do choose not to wear lipsticks. Lip gloss can also be one of your choices. Keep it simple to a product/colour that you will be wearing everyday unless you are willing to carry a suitcase of lip products everyday.

I - Eyelash curler. Gives you a more dramatic lashes. Drugstore inexpensive curlers give you a same effective result, there is no need to go for a expensive branded ones.

J - Mascara. It helps to define your lashes giving an effect of a larger eye. Here I am using Etude House's Proof 10 Mascara. Waterproof may be your best choice especially during humid days, you wouldn't want your eyes to melt.

K - Lastly Blush. It may be optional. It gives your face a nice flush. I recommend a matte medium pink blush. It compliments any skin tone.

This is all you need to get started with your make up collection. Soon after you have mastered a few basic techniques, you may start from getting a simple palette and make up brush and start growing your collection.

Here are a few tips on how long you can store your make up. We wouldn't want any expired products on your face which is the key to growing acne or skin allergies.

3 MONTHS
- Eyeliner
- Mascara

6 MONTHS
- Eye foundations
- Eye creams
- Eye bases
- Cream eye shadows
- Any other cream or gel based item for eyes
- Face Powders which have had brushes or sponges in contact with the product.
- Foundations that are cream or pancake.

1 YEAR
- Liquid foundations.
- Moisturizers
- Concealer used on face providing it is in a tube and does not have an applicator.

Good Luck ladies. You finally have your own make up pouch. Questions can be asked on the comment sessions or email me, facebook me, instgram me, pin me, tweet me. Have fun with your collection ladies. ^^
